ACOMPI presents As Possible, Camilla Carper’s largest presentation to date and the culminating event of the artist's two-year durational dressing project.

Featuring garments Carper has created and worn over the past two years, the presentation is sited at Freshkills Park, once the world’s largest landfill and now one of New York City’s most ambitious ecological restoration projects. As Possible is “informed by fashion runway logics morphed to accommodate the fractured psyche of our networked consciousness, finding limits around the infinite scroll of self.” Carper uses material to hold the psychic weight of what we carry, offering a meditation on excess, accumulation, and how algorithmic and empirical logics shape everyday life.

Following the performance, audiences are invited to a picnic hosted by LRC. They will also have the opportunity to join a guided tour of the mound, an area of the park typically closed to the public, led by Freshkills Park programming staff.
